The principal
of this institute, Dr. C.S. Gutthedhar is recognized as one of the
most distinguished personalities in the field of technical
education. Highly dynamic, with great scholarly achievements in
his field, he continuously strives to enlarge the horizons of
knowledge.
Dr. C.S. Gutthedhar is a Mechanical Engineer (1983) from the University
BDT College of Engineering, University of Mysore and Doctorate
from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai (1989).
EXPERIENCE:
• Indian Institute of
Science (IISc), Bangalore as Post-Doctoral Research Associate
• Pursued R&D at
National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore, as Fellow in
Structures Division (1991-1993)
• Taught Post-Graduate
(M Tech) students in Design of Machines and Mechanisms at VNIT
(formerly VRCE), Nagpur
• Many prizes and
scholarships were awarded to him in his student days for
Physics, Mathematics and Biology.
• He is Chartered
Engineer and has delivered many invited talks, lectures and
presentations in various organizations / institutions /
conferences / industries, and published many national,
international technical papers, book reviews and reports.
• Expert member of
Board of Studies in Mechanical Engineering of Nagpur University
(1995-2000). Member in various committees and sub-committees of
Mechanical Engineering, of University of Mumbai. He worked as
Convener of various committees in different institutions. Member
of advisory panel,
• Life member of
various technical and professional bodies viz Indian Society of
Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ISTAM), Indian Society of
Technical Education (ISTE), fellow in the Institution of
Engineers (India), Aeronautical Society of India, Acoustical
Society of India, Association of Machines and Mechanisms (AMM).
Under his able leadership and administrative skills, the
institute is continuously developing and progressing towards
academic excellence and wholesome growth. |
